Ernest Zacharevic (Lithuania)

Ernest Zacharevic is a Lithuanian artist incorporating culture and community in public art interventions. Ernests primary interest is in the relationship between art and the urban landscape, with concepts often evolving as part of a spontaneous response to the immediate environment.

Ernest has produced a series of interventions for the Splash and Burn project, ranging from a commentary on the local community and their relationship with nature, the dwindling wildlife population and most recently; the loss of the forests through his SOS land art intervention.

We know so little about the issue of Palm Oil but are so heavily involved economically. This was really how my work became directed to the cause
